Procedures for Completing the FHI
- Use the information that has been gathered from reviewing the child's records, the parent/teacher Interview Form, and the observations of the students and their environments, to select three different environments with varying background noise levels in which to present auditory stimuli for observation.
- Select environments familiar to the student that are a natural part of the student's normal daily routine.
- To the extent possible, avoid situations known to be agitating to the child during the observation.
