Overview
What Is the FHI?
The Functional Hearing Inventory (FHI) is intended to help school staff and/or parents assess the auditory functioning of students within their natural environment. The results of the inventory are intended to be used in conjunction with formal audiological assessment for developing and planning the student's program and IEP. The results can also be used to help the teacher or parent manipulate and control both the student's environment, and the intensity of the sound stimuli presented to the student, in order to optimize auditory stimuli for the student within the environment.
