Observations
In this section of the protocol, the evaluator will write down how the student responded to sounds in the environment. Be as specific and detailed as possible because this could help with IEP development and/or program planning.
For example, "turned head in response to door slamming at a distance of 6 feet" is a better observation than "turned head".
Play the video and make notes of your observations. Remember that "No Response" is also considered a response. Replay the video as many times as you like.
The woman in black is a specialist who works with the child at school every day. The woman in purple is the evaluator who the child does not know. Preferably, the evaluator would be someone familiar with the child, but for this situation, it was not possible.
